Very enjoyable, Fabulous location. Cosy seating areas. Staff helpful and good English spoken.

Room lovely, location great, staff we met very pleasant. Air conditioning heating worked very well. Shower excellent. Good quality shampoo etc supplied. Breakfast had a very good selection of everything you could wish for.

Although the breakfast was good the placement of the tables meant it was very cold to sit and eat. Perhaps the layout could be rethought for winter guests. Obviously this would not be a problem in the warmer months. No kettle in room for tea making. I did acquire one from a member of staff. The room was pretty clean apart from behind the dressing table area where it was very dirty. I only noticed this as I had to pull out the table to plug in the kettle.

Lovely property for a nice relaxing stay. Such a shame the shower could not be fixed.

Lovely spacious room and hotel ideally located in Almeria old town

Rain shower was not working and although reported to reception staff they were unable to fix it during our stay

Very satisfied, it is regretfull that the rooms are not always serviced properly.

Excellent location.

We are frequent visitors. Inevitability there is no sugar and/or milk with the coffee machine. Last visit the TV was not working on arrival. On a previous visit the safe was not working. It seems that no one checks the rooms to make sure everything is in order after they have been cleaned.

Perfect in every way.

The fact that the open air roof top pool was free and available all day. More than that, the staff were wonderful. One of us had a birthday this week and so was given a free visit to the spa. (You have to be quick to book a space as it’s incredibly popular). Wonderful quirky rooms were an added bonus. Wonderful views from our room too. I seldom do hotel reviews but this one needed sharing.

A game of 2 halves !

The location is idealy situated for exploring this wonderful city…….breakfast was an excellent buffet on the roof terrace with great fantastic views over the Alcazaba fortress The Thermal Baths were so impressive and not to be missed

Avoid room 106 !….. despite booking well in advance we were allocated a room that was obviously not for general occupancy ((the hotel was fully booked) the main issue was a missing door on the toilet cubicle which the reception staff declared no knowledge of blaming housekeeping for removing it without informing them ????!!! TBF they moved us to a new room the next day (107) and offered a free Thermal Bath session which was very enjoyable……despite this we were very disappointed in the hotel’s decision to allocate a sub standard room knowing that it did not meet their basic standards. We did wonder if it was because we had booked through Booking.com and were not Spanish citizens??

Beautiful place with amazing SPA. Need to fix air conditioning and some things in rooms, but in the bottom line it was g

- The air conditioner didn't work at all, and they couldn't fix it. It was difficult to sleep and stay in the room due to the heat. - The toilet doors might as well be considered non-existent. Huge gaps about two fingers wide. - The toilet door wouldn't stay closed and couldn't be locked. It was dangerous to stumble upon it at night. - The toilet door seems to be falling off based on the bolts.

Location, design, facilities. A truely excellent hotel.

I think it is unfair that for €800+ you still must pay extra to use the baths. I agree that massages etc are more but i don't really like massages and simply wanted to use the different water pools. That was disappointing.

The lovely ladies in reception, Aitana and Jenifer.. Super nice and friendly!

It is a small thing but there were nothing to hang wet items, i.e towels, swim suit, etc

Nice hotel , just book a standard room and use the roof terrace for outside space

Hotel location was great and the roof top terrace had great views . The breakfast was fine and traditional continental style which for that area I would expect . We booked a rooftop suite with terrace , modern - comfy and great shower / bathroom . The ancient baths are a must if you stay there .

It’s a shame but to me the staff trying to run a spa and hotel at the same time but clearly didn’t mix , it’s as if the hotel to them was a nuisance and they were more for the spa bookings but were not rude in any way but you could just tell . Just beware we booked suite 303 on the top floor and as lovely as it was it states that comes with terrace which you would imagine is private . Clearly not I lost count the amount of times guests wondered round to our private terrace which we had paid for , walking up to our window and peering in . I’d only been there 1hr , had a shower came out to find someone staring in !! . We complained and all the staff said yes they know it’s a problem but nothing ever gets done . You can’t blame the guests as me too would have wondered round as to the untrained eye you would think a hot tub would be there or something . Anyway we were given a bath / spa treatment to make up for it which was brilliant , I did say to them buy a gate / hinges and a private sign and hey presto - problem solved but you just know this is never going to happen . Still a pleasant stay we had and the roof top pool although small you can still do a few strokes in an was lovely addition .

Have stayed here a few times, but now will try another hotel in central Almeria.

Great location. Good rooms. Reasonable value for money

Little things. Instructions for the Security Safe in room were for a different model. Coffee machine did not work properly. No brown sugar. Only one drinking glass in the double room. No hotel guide in the room - no idea how to ring reception.

Great Hotel & Location. Little Gem.

Lovely hotel, location excellent. Great mix of modern and antique feel. Room was large, Great bathroom area. Air con excellent. Some English channels on TV. Roof terrace with wonderful view to the alcazaba and the plaza. Fresh water and coffee in the room - Great touch. Slept well comfy bed. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Roof top pool although lovely was too small, not a lot of beds to sunbathe. More of a plunge pool than a swim. No WiFi in the bedroom (302) had to use WiFi on roof terrace. Wardrobe in bedroom was beautiful antique, would love it in my home, but not practical for longer stays.

Almeria is on the up and this hotel is a great place to stay

Very modern looking hotel. The square it is on is beautiful and it has lots of bars and restaurants close by. Check-in was easy and efficient and staff were welcoming. Bed was extremely comfortable. Room was clean and tidy.

The basin was in the room and not in the bathroom. It meant that water was not easily contained in the shower and there was nowhere to hang up hand towels in the basin area. Also you have to leave the bathroom to wash your hands.

Wonderful

The location was excellent, and our room had a lovely view of plaza. Quiet and relaxing - a must do is to book baths as fantastic!

The room, although gorgeous to look at, was not practical, with stairs to bathroom and loft steps with no handrail. To assist, I would suggest sensor lighting for steps to bathroom
